01 Who can contribute Footage to StockXpert?
  • Anyone can contribute to StockXpert Footage! Motion Graphics artists, 3D artists and Videographers are all welcome. Please review our application and Video guidelines to find out how to contribute your video to StockXpert.

02 How do I contribute Footage to StockXpert?

03 How long does an Application Review take?
  • Application reviews can take from 1-5 days.

04 How long do footage reviews take?
  • Footage review times can be between 1-10 days, depending on how many reviews are in the queue. We will endeavor to make your wait time as short as possible.

05 How do I submit keywords, descriptions, model and property releases?

06 Where do I get the forms?
  • You can find Property and Model release forms HERE.

07 Do I need to make the various clip sizes myself?
  • No, that process is automated on our end. Please submit your highest quality, highest resolution clip possible, as we will not "Up-Res" your clip to a higher resolution. If you submit a 720x480 clip it will only be available in a 4:3 format from the size on down. If you submit a 16:9 High Res HD clip, it will be available in several sizes, except for anything with a 4:3 ratio. We will not add black bars or distort video by changing the ratios.

08 What kind of clips are acceptable?
  • Clips can be anywhere from 7-40 seconds long. We are looking for the same thing often found in images. Blurry video should only be done with a specific intent or effect in mind, and should make sense. Timelapse clips, traffic, nature (clouds). CG clips of great quality. Excellent background clips. Lower thirds and overlays. Business and technology clips. Great people shots.

09 What is "padding" ?
  • Padding is about a second of extra video on either end of your clip. This allows for easier editing for the people buying your clip. Basically, don't start your action as soon as the clip starts, give editors some room to play and tweak. If your video is looping (Such as CG background) you don't have to really worry about this.

10 Do you accept sound/audio in the video clips?
  • No, we do not accept audio of any kind on the clips. Please remove any audio from your video before submitting.

11 What else do you need to know about uploading Video?
  • You must own the full copyright to any clip you upload. This means you must be the videographer that created the image.
  • Remove logos, brands and copyrighted/trademarked material. Copyrighted material will not be accepted.
  • Follow keyword and description regulations carefully. We will not accept inappropriate keywords or keyword "spamming".
  • Model releases are needed on any clip where the person can be recognized in any way. This includes video where someone's back is turned or they are far away. Children in images can't sign a model release. A legal guardian or parent must sign for all children under the age of 18 years. You will be notified if you need a model release and it can be uploaded later if you're not sure.
